IRIS (Institute for Research in Schools) Awards ceremony

On the 26th of September, 5 students from years 9 & 10 attended an IRIS (Institute for Research in Schools) Awards ceremony in London.
They were one of the nominees for the category of ‘Best Research Team’. They attended the Innovation Club (one of the science clubs) at lunchtime to work on reducing energy usage at Knole Academy.
Although they didn’t win, they received a ‘Highly commended’ trophy – they were only in years 8 and 9 when they presented their findings at the IRIS conference in June.
